Description: A graceful vintage smoky beige kimono featuring a delicate Edo komon pattern that mimics the gentle fall of snowflakes. The soft, intricate design evokes the peaceful beauty of winter, creating a serene and timeless aesthetic. The pattern is composed of small, irregular dots arranged all over the fabric—characteristic of Edo komon—symbolising snow falling from the sky. This design echoes the refined patterns known as Kanmon, which originated during the Heian period (794–1185). These fine stone paving motifs were traditionally used as court patterns and appeared in local paintings, adding a historical depth to the kimono's quiet elegance. The inner lining is a soft, light brown shade, adding warmth and subtle contrast to the cool exterior.
Fabric: Crafted from fine silk, the kimono has a smooth and luxurious texture, light and soft to the touch, much like the snow it portrays.
Condition: In good vintage condition, this kimono retains its original beauty with minimal signs of wear, preserving the soft color and intricate snow-like pattern.
Style: Its lightweight and airy feel enhances the kimono’s delicate elegance.
