Description: This men’s haori is crafted from tsumugi silk, featuring a refined, textured exterior. The inner lining is hand-painted on exceptionally soft silk, depicting a prominent Mount Fuji with a snow-capped peak in the background, and a large hawk perched on a branch in the foreground. The artwork incorporates gold details and warm, earthy color, creating a striking contrast with the understated outer fabric. The painting is signed 大観, referencing the renowned artist Yokoyama Taikan. Included in the design are two eggplants, alongside Mount Fuji, symbolizing good fortune, achievement, and long life, inspired by the Japanese tradition of the first dream of the New Year (hatsuyume).
Fabric: Tsumugi silk exterior with a hand-painted silk lining of exceptional quality. Gold accents highlight the hawk’s wings and landscape elements.
Style: A formal men’s haori that combines a minimalist exterior with a richly symbolic and artistic interior. Suitable for collectors, ceremonial wear, or display, showcasing both craftsmanship and cultural meaning.
Condition: Good condition. The outer silk is well preserved, and the hand-painted lining remains vivid, with gold details retaining their original luster.
