The painting is signed 大観, referencing the renowned artist Yokoyama Taikan. Included in the design are two eggplants, alongside Mount Fuji, symbolizing good fortune, achievement, and long life, inspired by the Japanese tradition of the first dream of the New Year (hatsuyume).
