Description: A refined vintage Nagoya obi crafted from deep, purple tsumugi silk, featuring an elegant seasonal landscape. The tate (main visible section when tied) highlights a graceful white crane (tsuru)standing in flowing water beside a traditional wooden waterwheel, surrounded by reeds and gentle currents. The te (narrow end) carries a coordinating design of stylized grasses and a simple fence, creating a balanced and cohesive composition when worn. The palette of soft ivory, subtle metallic tones, and warm browns contrasts beautifully with the rich plum ground, giving the piece both elegance and quiet depth.

Fabric: Tsumugi silk, characterized by its slightly textured surface and visible horizontal slubs. This handwoven-style silk has a soft, matte luster and a subtly rustic, artisanal feel while remaining durable and comfortable to wear.

Style: Nagoya obi, suitable for semi-formal to casual wear. Ideal for pairing with komon or tsumugi kimono, and adaptable to a relaxed hōmongi. The crane motif symbolizes longevity and good fortune, while the waterwheel and flowing water evoke continuity and the passage of timemaking this obi especially evocative for late summer to autumn styling.

Condition: Good vintage condition. Light, age-appropriate wear may be present, but the obi remains well-preserved and fully wearable.
