This style is known in Japanese as a nibushiki kimono (二部式着物), meaning “two-piece kimono.” The set includes a short wrap-style jacket and a matching long wrap skirt, making it simple to put on and adjust. The jacket has wide sleeves and attached ties to define the waist. The skirt wraps around the body and adjusts with its ties—no special kimono-dressing skills or obi are required.
